In fact, sometimes I’m so pumped when I hear them, that I write lyrics. I wrote lyrics. Yeah, now when I hear one, I stand on my bed and sing. “Heeeellllllllloooooooo? I’m a caaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrr!, Gas-o-line-makes-me-run, Backseat, Trunk space, Heeeellllllllloooooooo!, Let’s go for a riiiiiiide!, oi-l-is-my-blood, seat belts, radio knobs.” I don’t care if you laughed at that or not, the next time you hear that @!#$, you’re gonna be like, “Hahahaha. That Dane Cook is a silly bitch!”

haha sorry, i love that skit..

Anyhow, I personally like CrimeStopper alarms. Iv just always had good luck with them. Great customer service as well...

Any alarm that has door lock outputs can replace your factory keyless entry remote. So you only have to carry the alarm remote around. otherwise you can just carry both.

How much security do you think you need?

i could be wrong (and i probably am ) but i THINK 2way is like where you get a beeper with it and it goes off to let you know your alarm is going off or something like that?? im just taking a shot in the dark here lol

If you're looking for something good with a pager, take a look at alarms from Compustar and Viper.

I've used both in the past, and they both make top notch 2-way alarms.

Anything DEI is good, especially if you get their higher end stuff like Viper, Clifford, or Python. Most places that sell alarms will install them too.

Im not aksing how good of a system you want.

Im asking what you think you need. Are you just trying to keep basic theifs away or is it a high crime area?

I mean you can get a basic alarm so that if they open your doors it goes off...

Or you can get starter disable, Glass break sensors, Shock senors, Hood Open Sensor and many other features.

2way alarm is when the car talks with the pager. It can beep or have a full display and actually show you whats going on with the car.

www.crimestopper.com

They make amazing alarms and remote starts....and the warrantys on them is amazing...

CIRCUIT CITY. Get a python and they don't use4 t- taps or anythign clipped, so your alarm wires wont come off and ar harder to disconnect.

Hell yeah Circuit City--Roadshop! Nick, I am in the Somerville NJ store.

Yeah, Python is basically the same as Viper, good prices too. You don't list too many mods, so a basic alarm should be just fine. Shock sensor, door triggers, ect ect. No need for extra sensors like proxy or glass unless you plan on some major modifications later. Also, the remote starter is a good thing to do.

The shock sensor and glass break sensor serve two different purposes.
Shock sensor picks up vibrations or any shocks that the car absorbs, while the glass break picks up the sound of the glass breaking through the microphone and trips the alarm.

Also, on what type of budget are you working with? Are you planning to install the alarm yourself or have someone else do it?

You are correct, however, what i was saying is that most of the time, your shock sensor will pick up a glass break because it doesnt differentiate between body and glass...so a vibration will set it off either way.

Personally I would stay away from Best Buy and Circuit City. Im not saying the guys above are bad installers, hell i dont think any of them are really bad, its what there taught that is bad information. YYou want examples, just ask.

I know Sam said you dont need Proxy or glass sensors but frankly, no matter what you have in your car, i would get them. People will steal anything. And in the summer time, i dont like to waste gas by using my remote start so i leave my windows down. The proxy sensor allows me to leave my sunroof open as well as my windows down and not worry about a thing.

Sorry dude, just telling the truth. Iv met some great people that work for these stores, and you know, there great at what they do, unfortunettly, what they do is wrong. Its like Circuit city and best buy are corrupting Installers...there the Devil i swear..

I mean ya cant fault the installers, there just doing what they are told, well most of them. Some of them really are idiots...

ive always been a fan of clifford, if you get an alarm, make sure its something with a battery backup or it will be completly useless.
