So i just recently replaced the stock hu with an aftermarket one, I did not use that stupid metra harness crap, so i spliced the stock one to the back of the headunit. I get no sound from the speakers, nothing is working.. Not sure what happened.. Wires are correct. Help =(

Im guessing its not so stupid cause the harness works.
Sounds like you have an amped system and didn't hook up the turn on lead.

"Wires are correct" but nothing works? lol could be a lot of things.. didnt trigger the amp if it has one, might of tagged ur ground wire to the dimmer... and now theres a blown fuse, dont have a accessory wire, loose connections?? you should of baught the harness to save urslef the hassel.

apparantly not
did you run a new power wire like your supposed to? check the wiring again, most likely you assumed for instance, that a black wire is ground...remember this is GM nothing is what it should be.
what you should do is reinstall the factory plug if possible and then get the "stupid harness" and use that, you'll find its not stupid
