ok so my buddy has a 99 cavalier. we bought the harness and the antenna adaptor. his aftermarket hu only has two rca's. one left and one right (one white and one red). so he wants to install two subs. he has one amp that pushes like 600 watts.
what i did. i ran the rca's from the back of the hu to the amp. then for speaker wires from the subs. (two negative and two positive) to the amp. ran the ground, and the remote turn on and the battery wire to the amp. but when i turn the radio the subs dont turn on. is it that maybe the remote wire is not turning on the amp.???help on this please

Does the amp have a light that says it is on?
Also, are the two RCA's for Subwoofers? Mine had 3 sets of RCA's, but only two of the six would work with subs. Make sure the gain is up as well.
ok we figured it out. for some reason the remote turn on wasnt working so i think he fused it to something. also the amp was not working so we got it working. thanks guys anyways. not to put the dash back on...argh that sucks!!

What wire on the HU unit did you connect the REM to? does the amp work while using the cd player?
