Ok so I built a new box for my subs because i wanted to make more room in the trunk.

Now that the subs are in the box and the box is in the trunk its not hitting deep at all and the one sub is squecking
How can i fix this ? ? ?

The subs are Rockford P210S4

Smaller than optimal enclosures typically hurt your low-end response. I'm also quite concerned with this 'squeeking' sound - that's usually not a good sign. Does it sound like the coils are scraping against something?

As for improving your bass response, which way do you have your subs/ports facing? Quite often in trunk installs, you get louder and deeper bass by facing the subs and ports toward the back of the car. If it's facing the front of the car, try turning the box around and moving it forward/backward in the trunk to see if you hear any difference.

You may have to experiment with different enclosures to get it to perform the way you want.

Ok so the box is sealed and the volume is about 0.7L per side and facing the rear.

I also got quite concerned with the sqeaking so I popped the subs back into my old box and it is much louder and there is no sqeaking so im thinking thta its the new box.

I think im just gonna leave it in the old box for now since ive been without it for a couple of weeks and am starting a new job tomorrow so i wont have time to play wit it.

If anyone has any suggestions on ways to fix this new box please help before i burn this thing
