so we installed my alarm on the 4dr yesterday and the wire coming from the brain with a 5A fuse on it is meant for my trunk popper, it works fine....but only once lol first time u pop it with a remote that 5A fuse blows, does it need a realy or perhaps does it need a bigger fuse?

I'd get a bigger fuse, just to be safe. Something like that shouldn't happen. Go with a 15A probably.
thats what i was told to try out by the guy who installed it for me, but another guy said putting a bigger fuse in could ppossibly damage teh alarm...... but i would think the popper needs more then 5A to pop hte trunk

Definitely need a relay, and almost guarenteed it's a negative output.
i have the wire going to the black wire on the trunk popper switch in the glove box

Put fused power to the relay, cut the black wire and put the part that goes to the button to 85, then the wire that goes to the trunk popper to 87.
