finally, going to an event car stereo one is doing, tomarrow there doing a free spl check from 12 pm to 5 pm, its on airport hwy in toledo ohio just to let everyone know, I had a question about what hertz to play for the biggest decibal number possably, I have two hx2 powers in a 4 cu. ft. ported box tuned to 35 hertz.
Most shows ive been to run 35 to 38 hrz.
when they run your car through, they can tell you what freq your car peaks at (if they are using a TL)

Try higher than that, do a 45-52 hertz range. 49 is the resonating frequency of our cars.
^^^^thats what i was thinking, to me, it sounds loudest at around 44 hertz. I will post up the results today when I get back, wish me luck
I just got back, pretty happy. I hit a 142.1 db's. It was on a term lab. Not bad for stock alt. and one battery running 4 gauge.
best thing to do is to run a sine sweep, find out where your sweet spot is

I think I could of did a little better with more time, they only let me test it 3 times, first I did a sweep from 60-50 hertz, then 50-40 hertz, then some random song on the bass cd. If I found my sweet spot, I could of done probably a 146 (maybe) if I burped it.
