Honestly... i have posted a wanted ad for a stock MP3 deck that will work on a 04 sunfire for over a year. NOBODY has one it seems. So i was curious, why do you guys hold on to these stock decks ??? or perhaps you can show me towards the pawn shop that you pawned them off at !!!
Incase you wanna sell your car then you can revert back to stock, some people oddly (mostly older people id imagin) would rather buy a car without all the fancy stuff, least that was my experience with my last car. On top of that so you dont have to buy a new system for your new car.
Simple. In case we ever sell the car, we can take our expensive aftermarket head units out and put the stock ones back in. Or, if the aftermarket head unit dies, we don't have to go without a CD player until we get a new head unit. Those are my top two reasons for keeping mine.
Your best bet is to go to a junkyard. If you can get a rep with a worker there, maybe you can get him to call you when a Sunfire comes in, so you have first dibs on it.
its ot that i hold onto it....i still use it. i love the factory deck
i have one..... i dont remember for sure if it plays mp3 or not
mine dont play mp3 but im hangin onto mine in case i get robbed, or my kenwood dies, etc...

Because it's worth more to throw your stock one back into the car if you ever trade it in than if someone was to just sell the deck.
I've got a 2002 stock deck for sale with the RDS display, cd and cassette player. I'm not sure about the MP3 capability, but if you want it PM me and we can discuss a price. Lemme know.
Gotta keep on livin', L-I-V-I-N
I have my 2002 CD player (not the mp3 compatable one though), in good condition still i think... im keeping A stock deck, once i get the deck out of the junk car im getting soon, ill see what one I would rather keep, and if the other car has an MP3 deck ill let ya know, i got a bunch of ebay/usps flat rate boxes, so i can actual ship things of certain size (any weight, as long as it fits in the box, shipping is flate rate), with relatively no hassle
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn
I have a CD player out of a friends 03+ Cavy (lights would be blue) with RDS also. I'm also not sure if it does the MP3's or not. I might be able to hook it up to power source in the house with some stock speakers on it to check for you.
i have an 04 deck that plays mp3's i will sell ya.
