Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have a few questions for those with expertise in the “big 3”. I just started this project and taking it one step at a time. Step one from what I read is ground to chassis. So this is where I want to make sure im doing it right.
I did not want to drill a hole in the car so I have pictures to show where I hooked up the cable I just want to make sure this will be effective. If not I suppose I will just have to man up and bust out the drill, I was just curious if this step mattered.

should be fine once you get the paint off there, you want a clean metal to metal contact

Like he said, just take a Dremel with a grinding attachment and get all the paint off.
