I would honestly take the Viper over the Hifonics any day.
viper= usually underrated.
Hifonics= usually slightly overrated.

the hifonics XX line is underrated but everything else is a little overrated. ill go with the viper i had a viper 2500 and 2 dei 1500D's and loved them.
I wanna get a bigger amp at some point. I wanna find a older Orion 2500D or 5000D

DEI will always be head and shoulders above Hifonics in my book.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn
This will be powering 2 Cerwin Vega VMX-12.4 subs.

Have you considered looking into amps that are strappable.
That way you can get a smaller one now, and then add another to add power later on?
In alot of cases, its more cost effective than one huge amplifier.

I have the viper already. I've had the Viper for about a year now.

my hifonics makes the 1500 watts it said too....1542 actually...its a hifonics bx1500d....but maybe my amp is just weird. maybe look at the brutus line, ive always like them better than the titans
Edited 1 time(s). Last edited Monday, January 01, 2007 3:19 PM
the bx 2005D was tested a few times to only put out 1400-1600 watt's rms, the newer bxi2006 it said to put out around 1900 at 14.4 volt's.
the brutus line of amps are good but rated at 14.4 unlike the gen XX amp that are rated at 12.2. in the next few weeks im goin to pick up 2 bxi 2006's or 2 herc's im not sure yet.
just dont let the hifonics amps go below 10v they like to smoke
