Quick question, will the sub tuning info work the same (basic principle-wise) for tuning an amp for components to find the optimal output (or would that be input)?

Its an old Jensen 600w4ch amp and some Sony 6x9's - 150w peak (I know, crap and crap, but that's what I got to work with for right now and after 5 years and 3 cars the 6x9's sound good as new)

The amp for my subs blew and I can tell that I didn't tune the component amp too well

What I do is play some music with a little variety - hearing distortion in highs and mids is easy to hear. Something like dropkick murphys, the skatalites, something with horns, violins, a spectrum of instruments and adjust to that.
