Ok so I got the GM035 Harness from Scosche to install my Jensen head unit. I setup the harness but then when I plugged it in it wasn't working. There was no power to it. Is there anything else I need to do besides plug the harness into the stock plug and the attenna port?

check the 2000+ sticky, you'll need an add-a-circuit off of the wiper fuse for the switched 12 volt supply.
The switched doesnt necessarily have to be the wiper. It can be anything switched on by the ignition. I think mine is actually wired to a fuse that says ignition
Is there a certain fuse type that needs to be used? Also thank you for the info I posted this right before I left for work so I just skanned the FAQ and didnt see much.

USE A FUSE TAP! you are just TAPPING INTO a fuse that is already there. I had mine on my HEATER fuse.
A couple years back I COMPLETELY hard wired mine in, I grounded it to the car, and ran the 12V and Turn on wires to the Ignition harness under the steering colum.
i just pulled the wiper fuse, wrapped the wire from the stereo around the fuse and then crammed it back in there. its not the proper way or the safest way, but it was the easiest and lasted the 4 years that i had the car.
GO PATS!!!

thats definitly the redneck way to do it,,,,
no matter where you get it from that should be fused you shouldnt go bigger than a 15. theres nothing worse than troubleshooting and finding out someone forgot to fuse a power and you have to run lots of new wire b.c something got burnt up or melted. the fuse will blow before your radio does
Ok so using a fuse tap. How exactly do I set that up? Also when running a wire where is the best way to run the wire at to get to the fuse box?

Example of a fuse tap:
It piggy-backs onto an existing fuse and has a power wire to tap off of.
