According to the Q-logic website you cannot use the kick panels in the convertable.. Anyone with a vert using them anyway?
Thanks,
Justin
I dont know if the kick panels are the same in both but, one sure way to find out is to go the the junk yard, pull the factory kick panels off a hard top and see if they fit your vertible. If they do, just tell Crutchfield you have a hardtop when you place your order.
bump.. I'd like to know this too.
The verts have a beefier frame in that area making it wider, so no the kick panels from q-logic wont fit
I thought Q Logics just came back to the front of the door frame over the factories on a JBO?
OK, actually did some research. Here are the instructions for the hard top. They require some cutting. Considering where they are cut, they seem like they would fit. Again, I would check a hard top kick panel to see if it fits the actual kick panel area first.

The trim panel between a 3rd gen vert and a 3rd gen coupe is not interchangeable. The door sill area is much wider on the 'vert... the coupe plastic curves, the 'vert plastic is flat. Won't work.
On the Q-Logic panels, you cut the front 1/3rd of the trim piece off and chuck it... which makes a problem if you want to sell the panels and go back to stock as a friend of mine is having issues with.... he can't find "Medium Gray" kick panels anywhere.. graphite, sure... tan/beige, oh yeah lots of those around..
any ideas a good place to get the kick panels for 6.5 components for a good price?
