Due to my car being broken into repeatedly, I've decided I should get a proper alarm. I want a 2 way system that will notify me when someone tries to get in. I have nothing in my car besides my stereo (which they never seem to take.. I guess because I remove the faceplate), I just don't want to go to drive it and have it not be there, and also I want to catch them doing it so I can beat them down or something and put an end to this.. because the police really can't do anything.

I had an alarm in the car when I bought it, but it seemed to be interfering with the Passlock or theftlock or whatever they call the factory ignition security thing. Anyways, I had to remove the 3rd party system that was in it to be able to start and drive my car.

I'm wondering if anyone has had issues or whatever.. or if there is a particular make or model of alarm that I should get?

Nobody knows anything about car alarms?

Car alarms have nothing to do with passlock or theftlock. I use an astra 777 and i love it.
