okay. the car runs. tranny works, everything i know about seems good except for the alternator. its not charging at all as far as i can tell. i pulled the alternater off and had it checked and it is working fine. as far as wiring someone tell me if im wrong but it has the power wire going to the battery and then just the plug from the wiring harness correct? so, i have a 2 gauge wire going from the alt to the battery. i have 4 gauge going from the starter to the battery. i have 4 gauge going from the battery to the fuse box that is normally right beside the battery. i have a 4 gauge ground from the engine to the battteries negative and a 4 gauge negative from the battery to the body of the car. im thinking if it was a ground issue the car wouldnt turn over. only two things i can really think of is the wiring connector. it was taken apart and maybe the wires got reversed. im lookin in the gm book trying to find out what they are before i attempt to flip them, or something related to the alternator that is associated with the fuse box that is normally near the battery. mine is now located under my dash and i extended the wires. im at a loss and its pretty much one of the last issues i have with the swap. any help or info would be great here guys/girls.

Yup, those wires need to be hooked up properly for it to charge. That's the wiring that tells the regulator to turn on and start working.
