Hey, hoping someone can help me.
I have an 05 Cavalier Coupe, base model with A/C and Auto only.
The issue I have is, my factory CD deck, when playing a CD, I cannot just turn the dial to maxium volume, I mean when I turn it up and keep spinning the knob, the volume will heat a peak, and then turn down a little, and MAY go back up again or down as I keep turning.
When I hit the knob to lower the volume, the volume tends to raise a little, as if hitting its max, and then back down.
When I listen to the radio, there is no effect like this.
I am running a amp/sub from my factory deck, but as far as I know, this was always the case, or do you think it is because of this set up?
Or is this a GM factory thing where they have it set so you dont blow your system/speakers ?
Anybody ever encountered this? Should I get my deck checked and replaced by GM ? I am still under warranty.
Any suggestions or help would be nice.
Thank you guys.
I dont think you have a problem. Mine did the same thing in my 02 cavalier
Yea WTF is that..its so stupid..you can never hit the max volume properly...
I have a 2003 Chev Tracker as well, my parents car, same CD deck, I should test on there..
Anyone else with any comments or suggestions?
