I did a search and didnt find anything that I was looking for. So I'm just wondering whats the best way (if at all possible) to fit 4 12's in the trunk of a cavy? I know a friend of mine had 4 12's in his sunfire but his box was just a big huge flat thing and I'm really wondering if theres any way to build a box (or multiple boxes) that will allow the subs to face out instead of firing upwards like my friends subs were in his box.
the subs I would be usin would be 4 12" Alpine Type-E's
any help would be appreciated

A.D.D owns me small sealed boxes and its not even close to difficult.

RKsport had a fiberglass replacement for the back seat desinged for 4 subwoofers. The only problem is that you won't have a back seat anymore. If your building a show car..I'd go with that.
and that its not a complete box so you would have to finish it yourself.
what do you mean by "finnish it"? like cut the holes and whatnot?

no like build the rest of the box. It is just a top piece. essentially a face. you would have to build the back front bottom and sides.

second, why would you want to do 4 type e's in your trunk? you could step it up to 2 type r's and have half the space, and have it sound better.

Yes you would have to cut the speaker holes also. Why not go with 4 trpe r's? Assuming your charging system is up to it...that would be loud as all heck....and sound good too.

well to be honest i'm just trying to have me a decently loud stereo for under 1000$.. i'm going with my friend next doors idea of 4 cheap 12's and a good capable amp and good speakers.. his is unreal and it's only 4 12'' rockford p1's and a 500w rms amp and i figure i can do the same thing with another 2 of the type-e's... i'm quite impressed with them as it is so i really dont see any need for very expensive subs

not in Canada they're not.. at the local place where i get my gear they're like 3-400$ each where the type-e are 140 or so...

you ever heard of internet shopping? hell hitting up CC when they do the buyone get one shopping.
Why 12" Why don't you go either with 4 10"???? They call for less airspace. and you could find some kicker comp cvr's for cheap on the internet. and they would blow away the alpines. or go alpine subs. I guess everyone has there own opinions, and im just trying to give you an idea or two.
why don't you just find one used jl 13w7 or any w7 for that matter and one will sound clear as day? Just look around and u'd be surprised what deals you can find.
I had 4 12's in the trunk for about 5 months....i used 2 seperate boxes long ways back to back, One set of speakers to the left and one to the right....it hit really good, I actually hit a 148.7 on a Db meter before the alternator and battery decided they didnt like me anymore hehehe, I got rid of one set and now just run 2 12's and a 1500w rf amp
