i took a look and couldnt find my question so if this has been asked i am sry.

i am looking at getting the eclipse avn 7000 with in dash navigation. now mu question is what do you hve to hook into? and does anyone have a picture of the wire or how to do it? i have an 05. and it has a system in it which i can do standard install just never done a navagation one before. thanks everyone

tell us which other wires you need.

havent gotton it yet so dont know. just was tol by a friend you have to hook it into your computer or something. im really not sure

I installed an eclipse avn 2454 double din nav unit in my 05 cavy and just had to use my aftermarket harness and custom made dash adapters. But isn't the 7000 a single din? if so it will install the same way a regular stereo does. My unit has the gps antenna and harddrive but I think the 7000 you have to download maps from the computer onto a flash drive.

I would think it would be the same as a regular install, but i have not done one myself (I guess that does not really help),

your friend might be reffering to the transmission sensor, if the deck has one. that would make it so your dvd or video features are only enabled when in park.. but i personally would jumper that connection.

There is a VSS or vehicle speed sensor and parking brake sensor.

That should be all that is needed.
