Pioneer iPod Adapter.
Thursday, July 05, 2007 8:05 AM
I've read and understood the hookup for the 2000+ j-body... I'm going to run a wiretap to the windsheild wiper fuse to run the switched 12v for the head unit.

I also have a Pioneer IB100II iPod adapter that has a yellow 12v constant and ground... Would anyone advise AGAINST tapping this into the 12v constant that will go from my head unit into the factory harness??

Or would jumpering it off of there create a problem in the long run? If so, where woudl be another place I should run it and should I use a quick disconnect? Should I fuse it at all?

Thanks.

My adapter had an inline fuse when i bought it... it was 2 amps i believe... I don't wanna go rip my car apart to find out though...

I believe mine might not be there (I bought it used but it's cosmetically flawless)... I'll have to look again otherwise I'll just run a 2amp inline fuse.
