Question about fiberglass + heat
Sunday, July 08, 2007 12:44 PM
I'm attempting to build a fiberglass box, and I've been working on it outside, but I put it inside at night. Today when I went to go work on it, I brought it, and did a little but it was really hot so I went and took a break. When I came back outside I was looking at it and some areas that were dry and not sticky were sticky again. Will leaving the box out in the heat mess it up? Its around 100 outside and I've never done anything with fiberglass before so I wasn't sure. It just seemed weird that some of it that wasn't sticky before was sticky again.

Heat shouldnt really effect the fiberglass at all, if anything it should help it cure.. Also if you think about it once everything is said and done. The box will be in your car and in reality the inside of your car will be twice as hot then what it is outside. So there shouldnt be any problems as long as your mixing the right ratio of MKEP and Resin
