Do you have pics of the subs you are getting rid of? How much do you want for them?

Ya go Kicker. You can run a 12inch L5 in a 2.9 cubic ft box with only 200 watts rms and it will hit has as hell. But that's a big box.

Whatever happened to JL Audio? Last I knew, JL was the speaker/amp of choice.

2.9 big? I don't think so, not when my one 12" mofo sub took up 2.5 cuft on its own! RMS was like 1200 watts too tho

wow this thread is full of inexperienced people giving advice... thats a bad situation..
1. since when is a solobaric going to perform its best sealed?
2. since when is 2.9 cf per sub a good enclosure for someone looking for less space consumption?
3. go to www.caraudioforum.com and click the subwoofer forum, find the "please read this for the love of god" thread" then re-ask your question

I never said sealed. Should have been more specific. I'm not sure at only 200 watts you should run an L5 in a Sealed 3 cubic foot box. It's going the have to be ported. And I disclaimed that a 3 cubic foot box would be large in size, obviously noting his need for space. Go to kickers page and look at the tech notes. They have all boxes with cut lists for any situation.

ok, but for someone wanting to take up less space why would you begin to recomend a big boomy, space and power hungry sub that sounds like poopoo in the SQ department?
I still say the OP reads that thread in caraudioforum.com that i mentioned before asking for recomendations.

Check out Bravox Audio's UXP or EXS series if you want great bass from a high quality component subwoofer.

Bravox Audio UXP

If you want a great subwoofer that you can use for either SQ or SPL then check out Bravox Audio BVX12D2 or BVX12D4

Ive heard that the SQ10 by Elemental Designs is pretty mind blowing for its size, and its small enclosure requirements.

Never seen it in person, but if its as good as the reviews, Id recommend taking a look at it.

JLAudioCavalier(1bad02cav) is just straight up ruthless. Your just a cold hearted SOB. Love the attitude and that is a compliment!!!!!! Some of these guys are just beginners. But they have to learn the hard way. Thats why the more experienced people have to step in and straighten the confusion.

look at elemental designs. Ive experienced their stuff and would do it again if I had some extra cash.

I have subs but need some sound deadening, new box and amp.

But seriously, check out some ED products, i'm sure when alex gets back he can give you much better info.

I hit 141.7db with one Kicker 12" SoloBerec last week.........But if you want somethin that sounds decent but doesnt take up much space why not get a Alpine Type R 10" or something like that........

I have a an RE SE 12" in a 1.0cu box sealed (recommended max for sealed on this sub) with a 1000watt US AMPS Xterminator amp. I never tested the DB level but I can have a CD sitting on my front dash jump up and down when I am at level 37 on my deck and it can go only higher. At a normal listening levels though the bass is clear, deep and smooth. Rock and Rap both produce well with this sub. Not raspy or "banging" bass from a cheaper sub. The sub only cost about $145 when I got it way back when. Fi is a derivative of REAudio, I think one of the designers went on his own, not sure. Anyways I would assume their quality is just as good. But its worth a look into.
