Is this unit any good? I was looking and messing with it at circuit city while I was just up there looking around with my girlfriend. I currently have a alpine cda-9833 headunit and realize that I would loose some of my sound quality. I just want something different that I can mess with that looks a little but nicer in the car.

yeah, they are good. I had the 9311ts and loved it, but sold my truck. Bought the new(er) one 9412ts like it, few new things, but overall good head units.
you honestly get what you spend so just keep that in mind
i wouldnt buy it, Sure it looks cool, but i beleive it has 1v pre-outs, so if your speakers and stuff are amped then you would have to set gains alot hgher. i tried this deck, but the novelty of a dvd ran out quickly, and i decided to put my pioneer 680mp back in.. The quality was good enough for me. WITH an external eq this deck would sound good.
my buddy has the phase linear by jensen one from circuit city.. I think its a bit cheaper and from what I saw it works nice! has a fan for cooling. rca jacks for a 2ch and 4ch amp. Nice touchscreen. Im actually thinking about one for myself. Also Dual electronic has some nice ones too. There cheaper but work and look nice.
i have it and it works great...just had some issues when i hooked up my subs but got that sorted out..and as for what cav45 said about getting what you pay for think about this. your getting a $300 cd/mp3 player with the addition of a dvd and screen for no additional charge..great product for the money..

Nothing is free.
Just make sure you get the extra warranty. I've replaced a lot of those screens because the motor that extends and raises the display goes bad

You can polish a dog turd all day and make it look good, but at the end of the day you still have a dog turd. You do get what you pay for .
