L7's...what box

Which box would be better for L7s? I'm afraid of getting a ported box because of it's size and it may not fit. I was thinking of a sealed box to its specs but what would you recommend for better performance?

If by performance you mean accurate sound reproduction. Try to get as close to 2.75 cubic feet as you can.

And that's each. If you want to do them in a shared enclosure, you need to be somewhere between 3.5 and 5 cubes, 5 being the best.

Well I know Kickers love there space that is for sure... I had a 9.0 cubic feet box for my 3 15"Kicker Comp VR's. Since I lived right down the road from Kicker in Oklahoma I know a little something about them. If you want the best sound from the sub go to there website. If I remember right they give you a basic box build for the best sound from a box.

I had these two 15" L7's in my car they were in a 9.9 cubic foot box walled off made from double layered 1" mdf, and it was tuned to 49hz and did a high of 147.9 with stock charging system and a orion 2500d, but yeah I agree that 5cbft would be the best for bass but thats only if you either cut out the corner metal pieces in the back seat or put the box in the back seat because 5 cubic feet tuned to about 48hz is very hard to build but it can be done and if you want them sealed, well thats simple just build a very simple seperate chamber sealed box

heres a crappy vid lol
