big tweeter

I just bought a a speaker that was called a tweeter but i think its a little to big to be called a tweeter. Its 3 inches across 4 ohm-30 watt 100-19,000hz made by audio research AR-301DC. I cant find any info on these things and was wondering if someone could help me out.

Any info is much appreciated

Sounds like a cheap full range to me. Does is have a little cone sticking up in the middle?

Sounds about right to me. Can't think of any tweeters that drop down to 100hz either.

no tweeters play to 100 hz. best ive seen is horns and the best only get down in the 500hz range.
