Will Alpine Type R's fit under my door panels?

I'm assuming no, but I just wanted to check before I take my panels off and the speakers out of the box.

no matter what you can probably "make it fit" under there, probably won't want to use it at all though

if you are talking about the 6.5 inch mid in their component set, yes. You would need to make a baffle out of 3/4 inch mdf to space it out, then i would suggest putting the grille on just to make extra sure the door pannel doesnt touch the cone or surround, AND you still might have window issues. they arent realy shallow mids.


On the other hand....you have other fingers.

6.5" Components Yes and No.

They won't fit without spacing your window channel out - just use some washers (from what I've heard). I was gonna do mine like that but then said screw it and put them on top of the door panel where the stock "grills" are. Then you just have to mess with a baffle because it's gonna be a mix of not hitting the panel and not hitting the glass on the back.
