I was thinking about upgrading my front Sony speakers to a set of Infinity 6020cs components clicky.

Currently I have an older-model Sony 2/1 channel amp (760watts RMS). This amp is powering the rear Sony speakers (that's how it was set up when I bought the car), and an Infinity sub being powered by an Alpine MRP-M650 mono amp.

Assuming I buy these components, should I swap the old Sony amp with a new 4-channel amp? Or is there a better solution to get a great sound from the new components?

If you need more info to judge the situation please ask. Thanks in advance for you ideas.

keep in mind those are 2 ohm not 4

yes even more power required...but perhaps if it is better i should just use the sony amp for the components and run the rears of the head unit? that's why i came here
