Have an extra channel on my shaved door kit I feel like putting to use.
I need to run 2 relays inline the power window wiring, and need to positively identify the 2 wires I should be running these inline with.
When rolling the windows down via the switch I get a power signal from a dark brown (driver's window) and a light brown (pass. window).
Are these the wires I should be running the relays inline with? That's what I'm looking for.
Basically instructions say to cut one side running it to the 87a , and the other to the 30.
Thanks for any help in advance!
LoL mine does this up and down for me via remote and in the car, but I didn't do it...
I know that doesn't help, but hey I had too...
sounds like you know what your talking about....try it out....worse thing to happen it wont work...Im not 100% sure cuz i never did it but if those two wire are testing positive then those should be it. And since your using 87a sounds like a 5wire so that sounds right for what you wanna do...give it a shot!

Good call!
I called SPAL tech up to verify what I had thought, and sure enough I was right which made me quite happy. So being both relays needed 2 poles of power I ran another fused 10ga. power wire in from the battery and used it, wired the relays into the window motor circuit, applied signal from the SPAL brain and waalaa! Button #4 now rolls down the windows. He said to roll them up I'd add another channel, and 2 more relays. Too much monkeying there for me, and I'm content with them just going down.
Awesome
. Actually like this wiring/toying with relays. Somedays.
good work, thats a lot of realys in your car...LOL. I got 4 total....2 for door actuators 1 for trunk pop and one for starter kill. You prolly got like 8 or so in your car =) Too bad i dont have power windows or i would do that too =\
Nah, I have 3 for the shaved door kit (2 per window motor)(1 trunk release), and being the alarm isn't wired up to keyless nor trunk release I don't believe it has any relays. I didn't add relays to roll them up, just down.
So only 3!
very nice joe
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
wow... pretty impressive joe. holy crap those poppers are LOUD! do they smack the door at all or is that just the way they work? makes life real easy at a car show after u get done cleaning
i believe my alarm has some tricky feature to where u can add something to it and it will roll the windows down and open the sunroof. i wonder if i could wire it in to where my alarm fob controls my door poppers whenever i finally get around to shaving the doors.

Looks like you got it to work...
Should I post up a pick of mine rolling up and down?
BTW sounds just like mine 50lb pulls I had on my doors. It is fun to do when people are next to the car as you are working out.
That is so awesome. I need to get the DEI kit to add to my alarm.

That's just how they sound, yep most alarms have this feature. I'm sure my Viper does too, just easier to use the 4th channel on my Spal kit though. I'm sure with relays etc. you could use unlock/lock from the alarm for the doors, as all that triggers the solenoids is a +12v signal..

Yeah it's the 40lb Spal kit. Works just fine thus far. As for posting vid, sure.....I could've wired mine to go back up also, but deemed it not necessary

Yeah I heard from a friend that Best Buy/etc. sells a nice DEI kit.
