Autostart remote set up
Friday, August 24, 2007 3:16 PM
Alright well, I got an autostart system installed on my vehicle a few months ago in the cold wintery death, and everything was fine up until summer when I jumped in the lake with my remote. The remote no longer works, and I have a spare, but I can't figure out how to set it up. Does anyone on here have any experience working with these systems? Any help would be appreciated, I want to get it working again ASAP and the guy around my town who does the installs is away on vacation.

if its autostart it should be

flash the hoodpin (hold pin down for 5 seconds, release, lights will come on, immidiately press it and release it again)
lights will stay on for 20 seconds, within that time turn the ignition to run, then when the lights go off switch the ignition back to off,
press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons for 5 seconds, the lights should flash and the horn/siren should chirp a few times for confirmation.

theftlock and passlock are two different things, theftlock is a feature of the stock radio so it cant be used in another car and passlock is the cars security against theft, unless the key has turned the ignition it cuts fuel to the injectors

Alright, so... Everything worked up until I had to push and hold the lock and unlock button for 5 seconds... Nothing happens. Is there maybe another button? I'll go try this another few times with other buttons and stuff, I'll let you know how it turned out. Thanks for the help!
