i'm stuck in the old school and have two 12 inch menace subs and there is not specs on the back or anything and my 700 watt amp cuts out on them after like 30 minutes of use, the amp is less the half way turned up and the subs just stop the amp goes into protection and comes back on after it cools down a little bit....any suggestions or opinions

the subs sound great.......i've had them in 5 cars and this is my first Jbody and they sound even better now then they did before.

sealed box 34l*14h-17wb1*12.5wb2

untuned since i don't know how to tune a sealed box, if you can.

I don't know j-body's yet........but I will!

Gain isn't a volume knob. Read the tutorial on setting gains in the sticky at the top of the forum and set them according to that. Also you may be running an incorrect ohm load for the amp depending on how you have the coils wired together and how many ohms they are and what kinda loads the amplifier can handle.

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
