installation kit

k, im looking into getting a new cdplayer for my '99, right now its a stock cdplayer.....but in my opinion stock sucks. ive searched at stores and online to see what kind of installation kits they have for '99 cavs but they are all the same crappy looking kit...couldn't i use a kit from a 2000 and up? ive looked inside of a few newer cavs and they all seem to have the same layout and measurements. so is it possible to do this?

thanks!

i have a mount kit that will fit if you need it. i no longer need it. it has the cd "pocket" under the CD player, bot the plane blank flat face

Well 95-99 dashes need 95-99 dash kits. 2000+ cavys need 2000+ dash kits. I didn't like any of the 2000+ kits so I bought the 95-99 flush kit and I will mold it in there to not have any gaps.

isn't the hvac above the cd player on 95-99 and below it in the 00+ model, they use 2 different kits. My buddy just used a flat piece of plastic and cut the holes for the screws and the slot for the cd player so it would fit flush instead of the cheap wal mart kit that sticks out 50 ft.

the hole size is different between the 99 dashes and 00 dashes.

I use the Metra 99-3300 flush kit. No pockets, just puts the cd player in the middle.
