lol subject sounds, but ive always wired my subs up to the amp, positve to positive, neg to neg, but when i boguht my new amp i had the stereo shop hook up for me, because then id get the warrenty, well when i was lookin at the system a few days ago i noticed that one was wired, postive to pos, and the other was wired pos to neg, (now ive had the amp for almost 5 months) and had now problems is that a correct set up ? i switched it back (oh ya my amp is a mono )
I'de quess that the people that wired it up for you where just idiots and not paying attention.
I've known some people to reverse the polarity on one of there subs (depending on how they are set up), but it's not normally done.
Most people do it when they have a 3 chamberd bandpass like I have (both subs pointing at eachother).... but I run both subs the same because I think it sounds better... plus my subs arn't designed to run that way.
What kind of box are your subs in anyway?
there california profiles, in no way top of the line, lol but i think they did it on mistake because the postive and negs wires, the only difference is a little + sign on the wire which is a pita to see lol
If they were in the same box you could have damaged them by having them wired out of phase
