Re Routing DRL's

i searched for something similar to what i'm looking for but i couldnt quite figure it out..
My question is, instead of disabling my drl's couldnt i just re route them to the led's in my m3 mirrors so that when the drl's come on it'll be the mirror lights instead of the actual drl's?
car is an 02 cavy, thanks

i read that thread but it's not what i was looking for.. i'm looking for a more descriptive kinda response.. or maybe insight from someone who has done it
