I just picked up a Spal shaved door kit. My question is if anyone has any advise on mounting the solenoids. Location, pics, anything would be helpful. Just looking to save some install time from somebody who already has done this. Thanks in advance ! Oh yea, I already searched and nothing useful turned up...
theres a guy on cardomain that did a how to with pictures when you go to weld do it slow to reduce the warping in the door skin
It's not the welding I need help with. I just wanted to know about mounting the solenoid. Any tips on that. The bodywork is no problem. I can figure it out on my own, I was just looking for any useful tips.

Yes a bending socket is very useful as i found out too lol. I wish I could remember whose car domain those install instructions were on because I looked over them before I installed my kit.

I pulled off the door panel today and realized I wasent going to have enough time to finish the job...How did you guys set the length of the cable and crimp in that tight space? I was thinking of taking the latch assembly out of the door after taking measurments, then crimping the cable outside of the door. Anyone do It that way? Also, does anyone have any pics of where they mounted the solenoid? Any help is appreciated ...
This is where I thought it should go... And I am not sure on how far out the pintle should be when crimping the cable???
