is it possible to make a speaker pod without having to fiberglass the whole door pannel? if so can someone tell me how?

a pod like a sealed enclosure? or just somewhere to mount the speaker, you could always use mdf if your just wanting to mount the speaker, if your wanting some sort of sealed pod if your not using fiberglass its most likely going to be big and bulky and look funny.

Yes, it's possible. That's made of MDF and black vinyl

ya mine are seperate form the door panel, i fiberglassed them then painted them color match charcoal grey

he probalby made the fiberglass pos and then just screwed it to the door from the backside.

ya thats exactly how i did it, took mdf made the shape i needed, stretched some speaker cloth (local fabric store) over it and resin'd it, didn't need to use any fiberglass matt the speaker cloth gives it great strength and they didn't need to be really strong, then body filler and paint, after that i just screwed them on from the back

Love the pods!! Take your time making them . DON'T for get when you make the pod to allow enough room for the magnets..
