I was cleaning up the other day, and found my old Soundstream Reference 500sx amp... which I completely forgot I had.

Years ago when I bought the amp, it needed to be fixed twice because it would stop playing in low pass/bridged mode. I always powered 2 4 ohm subs in parallel with it. The amp would still play in either stereo or Mixed mono IIRC. Both times the amp went in for work, I swapped in a friends 300sx and never had an issue.

After the warranty was up, the amp did the same thing again. I got fed up and just stuffed the amp in a closet..where its been until a couple days ago. Looking back I really should have pursued getting it taken care of right away, but hindsight is always 20/20.

I searched the net and found quite a few places that do this kind of work, but I guess I'd like to hear some input on this first.

Do all channels work in stereo mode? If not, you most likely blew an output stage.
