ok im having some problems with the lights flickering and dont know what i need and also my jlamp keeps getting reallly hot!!!...I have 2 guage to the cap and 4 guage to the amps....this is what i have so far

try the big 3 upgrade, or maybe your alt is getting weak.

I've already done that...I used to have 4 12" Almani's with four 1000watt amps in it..and it never did that..but had diffrent battery and diffrent radio and diffrent cap...could it possably be that my jl amp is maybe pulling too much?I had already intalled a bigger alt. 105amp at idle and 200amp max

I would make sure that your ground wire is 3ft long or less, atleast 4awg and connected to bare sanded down metal.

His grounds are fine. If they weren't he wouldn't be able to pull enough power to cook his amp or dim his lights.

Assuming 75% efficiency, when your sub hits full blast, your amp is pulling around 55 amps. With that kind of current, your lights WILL dim. Also, your amp will be dissipating over 100 watts, so it WILL get hot, it's just how it works.

Dollar for dollar, a second battery by the amp will do more for this problem than a cap ever could.
