Alright so I know the title may have confused some so my issue is basically this. I installed H.I.D.'s in my 03 Sunfire and I still want to use the keyless remote. The problem is that when I push the lock or unlock button the lights flash which is not good for H.I.D. bulbs as it decreases the life of the bulb. I read in the owners manual that is is possible to change the way my car verifies that the remote has been used i.e. not flashing the lights but still chirping the horn, but it says that I need to take it in to a dealer to have them change it. I don't really want to spend the 70 or so dollars to have the technician change it is probably as simple as turning the key and pulling a fuse to enter the programming mode. So, does anybody know how to enter the programming mode for a Sunfire to change the way my car reacts when the remote is used?
Its it done with the tech2.You cant do it unless you have one, and they are quite expensive
