2003 Cavalier LS Sport w/o Onstar. Head unit help

I bought a Kenwood MP435U from Best Buy the other day. Bought a wiring harness and dash kit and antenna adapter off eBay.

For clarification and before my harness and whatnot ships, will this stuff do what I need? This will be my first HU install. Thank God too... tired of my @!#$ty Line Output Converter.

Harness: Scosche GM11. I was told it was cheaper because it was the older model of the harness.

Dash Kit: Scosche GM1583B 1992 and Up General Motors Oversized Radio Multi-Kit with 2 CD Pocket

Antenna Adapter: Scosche MDA1B GM Micro / Delco Antenna Adapter

So what do you guys say? Good? I only paid $125 for the HU from BB. I know I could have gotten a KDC-X591 for the money on Ebay. Kicking myself in the ass now for it. :/

Thanks. I have it hooked up to an old PC PSU I had laying around and this thing goes pretty far before clipping compared to my factory HU and my buddy's Pioneer 3900. I like it. Can't wait to get it installed and finish my system.

OnStar has yet to be useful anyways. I just phone my dad's friend who owns a Service Auto (NAPA) near us and he comes and tows me for free.

im wondering if the Onstar will work without the factory deck.

Who knows.

I have the head unit, dash kit, wiring harness, and antenna adapter. Now I just have to install it. I won't be installing it until my dad buys his new car so it can be parked in the garage for a week while I do the mods I am planning.

Intake. (Short ram more than likely)
Exhaust. (Not sure yet)
Headers. (maybe, who knows)
New seats (My dad managed to break the recline adjustment handles so I am going to get some nice seats)
New door speakers (6.5" Alpine Type R Coaxials with an amp to feed them around 100w RMS each)
New enclosure (Going to 1 subwoofer in a ported enclosure. Going to build the enclosure for a Fi BTL 12" but run my Type R in it until then.)
New sub amp (Cadence TXA1000D-1000w RMS at 1ohm, 500w at 2ohms.)

As you can see, I have my work cut out for me. I can't wait to start working next month. I need moniez.

you can make On-Star work with any HU, you just need to buy the interface. i believe a company called "Peripheral" makes them. they also make interfaces with steering wheel controls, but i dont think cavaliers ever had them, just thought i would through that out there

Yeah. At 15 going on 16 I have no use for things like that. I'm lucky as hell to get the car I have now anyways, let alone the girl who got a 2007 FJ for her 8th grade grad... pathetic.
