I am looking @ upgrading my factory CD player in my 99 Z24. I would like to do the job myself, so I am just wondering if there are any surprises I should be aware of such as antennae/wire harness adapters needed, problems removing the old CD player, problems acquiring a mounting/install kit, etc.
Where is the best place to get such needed adapters/mounting kits?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

you will need a few things...
- wire harness for connecting the new decks wire harness and the factory wiring in the car.
- GM antenna adpater. its like a 3 inch long piece tha resizes it from the tiny plug GM uses and the universal plug that all aftermarket decks use.
- install kit. there are a few available, just get the one for the right year of j-body as the deck sizes changed from 1.5 din (what you have if its a 99) to double din.

When pulling the dash apart. You will find two hidden gold screws tucked behind the glove box.
I havent done it in some time, but I think 1 or 2 screws per side behind a trim panel, and maybe 1 or 2 others in the glove box.
