Does anyone know if the Scosche GM2000 will keep the RAP feature? I am thinking of using this in my sunfire rather than the 100$ one I got for the cav
I think so if this is the on you want,
click me
but it might not be the one you were looking at.
Actually I was looking into
this one I dont want to spend as much on the harness for the sunfire that I spent on the cav at this harness is on 40$ rather than 120$.
looks like it should work really nice,
and then you don't have to add a fuse tap to the window fuse, should make it a cleaner install too(less wires)
I actually JUST installed a new head unit using this as opposed to the $120 crap Best Buy tried selling me (that they had to order no less). It works perfectly, and retains anything that could be lost when removing your stock head unit from an 00+

along these same lines, i dont know how he did it, but the previous owner of my cav (a 96) did NOT use any additional wiring harness, and my chimes still work. i've had the entire dash apart, and traced the wires back and there are no harnesses, no blocks, just wires. as i said, i dont know how he did it, but my chimes still work.
car audio noob since 1984.

Thats because the 96 did not use the Class 2 data system. Only the 2000+ J-body will lose chimes without a special harness, earlier models can use the saturn harness and not lose chimes.
