keyless entry to turn on underglow?
Thursday, January 31, 2008 5:39 AM
I have a crimestopper CS-865.RKE.II for keyless entry and i have a free channel.. My plans are to be able to turn on my underglow with one of the channels.. I know there will have to be a relay somewhere but I don't know how to hook it up.. I want to be able to hit the button and the neon will come on.. then i hit it again and it turns off.. Is this possible?

depends... will the channel stay on when you hit the button or is it momentary?

if the channel will stay on then you can do it with a normal relay, if not you will need a latching relay that you can latch and unlatch with the same channels signal.

i dont know.. how can i check? I'm guessing it is momentary. i will take a test light to it tonight but i think it is a negative channel.. so will i just hook the end of the testlight to possive and other to that wire?
