Hey Guys,
Can anyone suggest a decent pair of front and rear speakers for 2000 cavi. I dont need to go all out some stock or just alil better. Im going to be hooking up the speakers myself to save moeny. if anyone also has any tips or instructions or pics they can post. it would be great.
Thanks.
Go to some audio shops and hear the speakers.
I am not looking for smart ass replies people! - anyone have and name brands they can recommend or installation tips. The whole point is knowing what to look for when i get to the store.
wel actually lanmans reply wasnt being a smart asss. he gave you the best advice you can get. but to answer your second question, people on this site will give you endless replies about brand but really, wha you need to do is go to a car audio store and listen to speakers in your budget and buy the ones that sound the best to you. sound quality is completely relative and you have to decide what speakers will work best for you
"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin

Another wise ass, hello people, let me rephrase the question here so people can understand, If you have aftermarket speakers which ones do you have and which work best. I am looking for some name brands that are decent in price and sound.
go to walmart and get roadrunner speakers. they sound bomb.
there is no best speaker. get that through your head. go to an audio shop and listen to speakers, buy the ones you like. seriously, im not trying to be a "wise ass", im just giving you good advice so you dont go buy something that some other dude thinks sounds "bomb" but sounds like crap to you.

no @!#$. Just go to a Car audio shop and listen to some speakers for yourself. and buy the ones that sound best and are in your price range. quit being a dick and take some advice. some people will tell you they like Sony Explode and other will like Rainbow, Focal, CDT, ED, Memphis, Alpine. it also depends what you want. do you want Components or Coax??? what size. you can fit 6x9's, 6-1/2's, and 5-1/4" speakers. you just need to tell people you want. or figure out what you want. cause i dont think you know what you want or what sounds good. i agree with everyone else and get the sand out of your vag. all Lanman and Chris were trying to do was help. and personaly. ill take any advice Lanman can give.
If ya want an opinion on what I like in my car, I like the Infinity 4x6's up front and 6x9's in the back. GO to you local Best Buy and they have them there. You can also listen to them there. They also have a DIY pc there that lets you input your car info to see what other speakers might work, so you have a couple to choose from. Good luck!
SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks CAVCRZY for answering my question. I wouldn't go tell a member who is asking about struts to goto the store and try to push them in themselves. If you read my question, it is asking for members to suggest a decent set of speakers that will work in a 2000 cav. That's all.
Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Eclipse, Pioneer, Alpine, JL Audio, Blaupunkt, Sony, Kenwood, Polk, Boston Acoustics, Infinity, JBL. thats just a quick list off the top of my head. All good speakers that all have different sound qualitys, I personally have Kickers and Love them.
But as said above what I think sounds good maybe different that what you are looking for. Are you going to be added a sub or expanding the system at all, do you need the speakers more focused on the mid and highs, or are you just keeping it basic so you want a speaker with a good range. There is a lot of options available.
I know its not what you want to hear but the best thing you can do is go to a good speaker shop(not bestbuy) talk to someone that knows what they are talking about and listen to the speakers and make your own decision. You have to go to the store to buy them anyways, is it really that hard to listen to them when your there?
I think you should get some motrin before you get some speakers there pal.
hey lanman you got a large case alt right?
most speakers as long as they are sized right are just plug and play.
i have alpine type s 6x9s and 4x6s and they sound great
stock 5spd 2000 z24
Memphis, Hertz, Boston Acoustic, CLarion, JL. Are you going to stick with a 4x6 in the front or are you looking to go with a 6 1/2? are you going to amp them? are you looking for components or just coaxils?
