Headlight Warning Piezo Buzzer
Sunday, December 30, 2007 4:03 PM
So recently i upgraded my original radio with an aftermarket Clarion CD Player... I know that i loose door chime and also headlight warning buzzer. So now it`s been tree time that i leave my headlight on and complete drained the bat. So i go buy a Piezo Buzzer a RadioShack for 4$ and plug in the IGN fuse (-) and Left Headlight fuse (LT HDLP)(+) do not work. Test with WIPER Fuse (-) and Left Headlight fuse (LT HDLP)(+). Im hearing the buzzer even if my light are off. So reverse + and - nothing... Where should i plug the piezo buzzer ???

I'm not sure about the thing from Radioshack, but I purchased a buzzer from jcwhitney once to put on my '65 Ford and all it required was sticking it into the fuse box and connecting it to the correct fuse so that the buzzer went off when the lights were on.

While discusing "the correct harness" to retain the chimes and what not, does any one have or can anyone find the correct way to wire in the little speaker thatt comes with the T-harness. I didn't wire the t-harness up to retain chimes and all, now I can't find how to do it. Can anyone help me out.

Headlights themselves are switched negative... for starters.

Personally, I'd go between the marker lights (positive) and driver's door pin (negative) to get the same effect.

Thank you John Lenko,

i plugged the piezo on marker light and wiper so i can use my light when accessory is on. It a cheap alternative to harness and i do not want the Door Chime so it's the best setup for me! Thanks John your the best!
