'05 Sunfire rears

I just finished installing my new Alpine CDA-9885 head unit. (On clearance for $179 at Best Buy!)

Now I'm ready to install some new speakers. How do I get those rear ones out of there? I see some little tabs sticking out in the inside of the trunk. Are those connected to the speakers?

If this is a fairly simple project, I'll do it myself, but if it involves a whole bunch of fooling around, I may just have the experts do it. Any advice (especially with pictures!) would be appreciated.

My rear speaker install has turned out to be a hassle. My Pioneer rev 6x9's don't fit in the hole, the stock spacer is to small, and you can't mount from under neath without cutting metal. Im going to have to make a custom mounting bracket for them, and drill mounting holes in the metal.

Ouch, that sucks!

Anybody know of some 6x9s that drop in relatively easily? I was looking at some sony ones.
