Synchronizing lights with sound

So, I've spent the last few hours looking for ways to make my lights flash with my music, and all I've come up with is squat.

I have an assortment of cold cathodes and LEDs wired to separate circuits on a 4-pushbutton switch.... looking for something easy plug and play if any of yall know of something, (preferably controllable as to what frequencys/volumes it reacts to...) All I've seen are the cold cathodes that come with the puny sound control module, which in my opinion is inadequate (sucks....). If not, I'm pretty electrically inclined, just no clue where/how to steal the power from without robbing from my amps, or blowing all the lights,

If it matters, running an 400rms-4channel, and an 1200RMS mono, on a 1997 cav 2.2

your best bet is to take it through a sound control module. seems to be pretty popular now for people to do this at christmas time now, so maybe check for one ment for christmas lights now. i remember seeing some big bastards advertised this past season.

well first of all its real simple . . . you just need a music interface.
get one from streetglow for like $30 and you can hook up tons of
neons all with a central control. It can be found here.

Whats up people?
