Dumb question, in a 1998 Sunfire Convertible the rear 6x9 speaker wire is Brown and Yellow. I assume the yellow is the + not sure though if anyone can tell me that would be helpful.

darks in the rear are positive lights in the front are positive

i dont get what the illumination and dimmer is for.

Some decks use the illumination wire to light up the deck, and the dimmer, when you adjust your dimmer, it adjusts the brightness of the radio.
