I have a question when ever in the summer i am running my system for like 45mins on the cd player volume 20 then after that 45mins or so the amp shuts off so i have a switch wired into it so when ever the amp shuts off i can turn it back on but then i have to turn my volume down to like 14-16 and i can't figure out why it keeps doing that... if i could get help i would greatly appreciate it... thanks
sounds like the thermal protection is kicking in. try turning down your gains, and make sure the amp has sufficient room to breathe or air out. if its closed up in your trunk, it wont take long for the ambient temp. to rise and overheat your amp. also look into some cooling fans. i've found the crossflow type to work the best.
