I need ideas of where to mount an in-car voltmeter.
The only one I can think of is the stinger SVMB.,
So if you got pics of em post em!!
wow....
is that even a jbody??
yep. its a modified Sunfire cluster... here's before everything was tightened down:
and installed (its coming out for some rework on the bezel)
yaaa... thats too advanced for me.
any simpler installs?
The volt meter has 3 wires: power, ground, dimmer (illumination). Some may have a 4th. Its about as easy as it gets when it comes to gauges... except for the ones that plug into the cig lighter
thats simple...power(ignition), ground (metal), and dimmer (i would use parking lights cuz im lazy) is easy........finding a place to mount it PRICELESS.............sorry had to do it =P
Just buy a pod, mount the sucker, and be done with it.

2002 Sunfire -->
- Ractive steering wheel
- ASA 17" EM9 + Nexen N5000 215/45/17 (steelies for winter)
- D-Spec Lowering kit @ 1.4" (issues currently
)
- Rockford P250.1 + MTX MZS1004 + Panasonic CQ-C8313U head unit
- Barely legal tint.
I already have a pod, wanted to use less space.
But just in case I get another pod to put a voltmeter, does anyone know how much that install would cost me? (voltmeter+new pod gauge)
Tsunami makes a nice indash voltage unit.

Probably no help from me, since you're already using a pod, but this is where mine is. Yes I know the gauges were sitting crooked at the time of the picture.

depends on the price of the gauge and pod.

ya I wanted to know approx how much the install would cost. I will add the the cost of pod+gauge after.

If you are looking at having a shop do it, much like body work, prices and participation may vary.
Depending on where you want the gauge, it could be a 20 minute job up to an hour or so if they have to take most of the dash out to mount it. Then you need to take into account labor / hour, which I won't have an answer because everywhere is different.
If you are putting it in a pillar pod, its a simple DIY job.
