Hey just wondering what your thoughts are on power bass subs and amps.. they are cheap in price, but i dont want to buy a bad amp for my speakers. thanks in advance

Depends on what series and model subs / amps by power bass? There lower line stuff in junk but there high end stuff is descent.

I HAVE THERE ASA 700.5 5 CHANNEL / 6.5 COMPONENTS-6.5 COAXLES AND 2 8" JL SUB IN MY CRV AND DAM DOES IT HIT HARD AND CLEAR---I ALSO HAVE THER ASA 400.4 WITH PIONEER INTERIOS AND ORION 1000 WATT MONO AMP WITH 2 10" ORION SUBS IN A SEALED BOX IN MY 97 CAVALIER AND IT SOUNDS CLEAR AND HARD

yah i was just wondering bout subs for my friend, i got some 12 inch rockfords n they pound amazing with a jbl amp.... but i do need an amp, i got kaption speakers in all 4 spots, but ive never heard of power bass before, and id like to amp the speakers for a low cost,so i was thinking the model number asa4004 ,, 4 channel 800 watt amp, should be good? my speakers are kaption competition series 300 watt amp im pretty sure.

powerbass puts out some nice sound hooked up properly, i worked with them at a shop for roughly 2 years.
i dont know of the stability of them, i never used them and the cars were in and out.

as a rough description, they are as loud as a explod with the clarity slightly above a stock speaker.
as for the subs, my boss used that brand in a van with 8 12's and brought home trophies from large scale competitions.

he beat bestbuy, circut city, sound advice and a few other small guys from around florida.

i've got 2 higher end PB 10's in a jl HO wedge box last time i spl'ed it i hit a 142 with a jl 500/1 monoblock so i'm giving them a thumbs up

had two power bass 15's i think L series, and the powerbass 1000.1 mono block and it was crazy loud loaded down to 1 ohm but be carefull on how much power u are drawing i had to run an 200 amp circuit breaker to run it . now i run 2 power bass 12 L series and an 800.2 and it sounds real nice. so yeah i like them alot

Yes but see if you are drawing to much power from the battery in the engine compatment get a battery and wire it up in the trunk but be careful while doing so cuz you can fry @!#$... i haven't personally fried anything yet but i ran my own battery in the trunk and it makes a big difference in how hard your subs will hit because the amp will be getting all the power it needs from both the batteries... just my $0.02
