Alpine Type R 6x9 Install Help

I just put these in and they dont hit hard at all. Like my stocks sounded better? If anyone has these can they tell me if they came with wires for the install? My 4x6s came with wires that basically just plugged right in and they sound pretty good.. The 6x9s didnt come with anything and I got them from a alpine dealer.. Not sure if they are supposed to come with them or not

^ ^ ^ Pretty much guaranteed to be the problem.

I don't think you'll find many speakers that ship with wire. That tends to be the sort of thing people can deal with on their own, based on their installation needs.

yea switch the positive and negative and it should sound better.....some speakers dont come with the wires but i dont remember if alpines do or not, but either way that shouldn't be an issue

someone suggested bypassing my factory amp? I just redid everything again and its better but not how I thought they would be. Its almost like the entire speaker is acting as a voice coil with no woofer at all.. I think im going to take it someone bc im out of my element now

yours is an LS Sport no? that means the rears have seperate hook ups for the highs and lows... did you wire them to just the highs?

yea its a LS Sport and I think more then likely it was just the highs which makes since to me why they dont sound very good. But I just took them back out and waiting for the amp to come in now. Just going to do it right, might as well.

So for now im just rockin the type s 4x6's which sound great .. enough bass to shake the door panels.
