And I suppose if you look at type-X or F-number-1 by Alpine, they're pretty good too. Type R is loud and Type S is poop

could be a number of reasons why the Type-S's sounded better. Car, tuning, amplifier, etc. But thats for another discussion.

I have the infinity 6.1 kappa perfects, for em for like $160 brand new so I cant complain on that. Best speakers I've ever bought, had them in diff cars.

Type-S are overly bright, end of story.

Bose does integrated systems for car companies, that is, the cars come with Bose. But I don't think you can actually by separate Bose drivers in any sort of store.

i honestly went to the audio store the other day to buy 6.5 components for my contour and listened to a bunch of them with out looking at price and liked type-s the best. you cant really say something is garbage because it isn't to your taste. you can say something is garbage because it distorts at low volume or has bad build quality....

"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin

if your taste is high end quality sound you could say something was garbage because to your ears it could be.

I'm picking up a pair of Diamond Audio S600s components, heard them at a local shop and fell in love. Another great sounding one was the JBL GTI series, but those seem to be on backorder almost everywhere.

Polk is entry level. They're not bad.

I think Audiobahn makes 6x9 components.
